Who is Lauren Longworth

Lauren has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Studies and a Master of Arts in Agricultural and Extension Education, with a minor in Curriculum and Instruction. After graduation, she and her husband moved to Santa Fe, where she worked at the Santa Fe Children’s Museum as their environmental educator, planning and providing environmental education programs for visitors, and on-site and outreach programs for school and camp groups. Later she worked as the Program Director for the Girl Scouts – Sangre de Cristo Council, Inc., planning and coordinating all council-wide events, and overseeing their 356-acre resident camp.

Lauren and her husband, John, both originally from New York, have been living in New Mexico for just over ten years. Lauren enjoys watching KIDS FIRST! endorsed films with her four-year-old son, Evan. She also volunteers on the Steering Committee for the Milagro Community Garden and is a member of the Board of Directors at her son’s school, Dandelion Preschool and Drangonfly Elementary.
