If you look at this title for it's visual appeal, it makes sense. As a learning tool, it is not realistic to think that 2-5-year-oles can understand the concept that the brain controls the senses. They can, and do understand that we have different senses. Stop here with the lesson and you'll be fine. |

Novel approach. Effective use of sound effects, music, puppets and live footage. Good visual clarity and light, catchy music. Very conceptual, though the ida of the brain talking to the body parts is beyond the understanding level of the target age group. Slow and somewhat scattered. "Cute puppets - once you get over the idea that one puppet is a brain." |

"My daughter enjoyed the puppets. She said they were 'funny.' She laughed and moved to the musidc, pointed out the children on-screen, and the toys or objects they played with." Others needed explanations. "The only thing my daughter disliked was the brain puppet. She didn't understand what it was doing." All the kids crowded around the screen to see the cookies. . |
