Good spirited jab at all the dads, and moms whose efforts to get their kids up occasionally might get slightly out of control. The twist at the end is not so much unexpected as it reminds adults of their own past.
There is no time for childhood. Time is money, and Jack needs to realize that, at least that's what his father thinks. Jack's father is desperate to wake up his son and will do anything he can to achieve that goal. Based on the filmmaker's own experience, the father starts with a gentle wake up message that progresses to more aggressive ones such as tossing a bucket of water on him. Does Jack ever wake up? And why is it so important for him to wake up anyway?
