The objectionable parts (nudity and coarse language) are not necessary to the storyline. With a few tweaks, this could be good film for families. Has a good storyline with a believable plot and a solid beginning, middle and end. Its greatest strength is the ending, where it ties everything together beautifully from characters to plot crisis. One is not immediately drawn into this story but when it picks up pace in Europe. (what does this mean) The middle of the story starts getting stronger and you start caring about the characters. You want the kids to succeeded in making the flying machine and you start wondering what is going on with the water supply and Leonardo's descendent. The relationship between the father and the son is also well drawn out. The conclusion is the strength of this story. Everything ties together in a suitable and realistic way. The conclusion is very satisfying and ties back to the beginning beautifully. You really connect with the father and the son and the mayor's daughter. While this is a work of fiction, it could get kids excited about artists and scientist of the past, such as Leonardo da Vinci.
