Touching and somewhat schmaltzy story. Good characters and performances, particularly by Howard and his Mom. It takes a family's story into a new realm. The brother's conscience motivates him to try to compensate for something he felt was his fault but wasn't. Well done student production.
Ten-year-old Howard is a budding scientist. His sister Erin has a disease that requires she live inside a plastic bubble. When she dies, Howard thinks it's his fault and decides to build a rocket ship that Erin designed. The trouble is the rocket ship is based more on Erin's imagination than on scientific principles. With the help of his best friend, a moon rock and some lighter fluid, Howard learns that good science must start with a heart-felt dream.
