Most kids enjoyed this, particularly younger ones in the 5 and 6-year-old age group. The older kids found the story lacking in substance whereas the younger ones said, "I would watch it again because there are funny parts." All the 5-year-olds watched it twice and agreed they would watch it again. They loved the puppies who were "cute and funny." "I think my friend Maddie would like the pink puppy, like me." They understood the storyline. ""It was about funny stuff that dogs do and pretend to do - like going camping." Overall, the littlest ones liked it best.
Adult viewers, particularly those who are dog lovers, absolutely loved this. They found the dogs adorable and enjoyed watching their antics. The narrator's voice is soothing, rather like a mom reading a bedtime story, but it also almost puts you to sleep. The songs are delightful and leave you wanting more, or even have a different voice for each of the dogs. The storyline could use some improvement though the messages about teamwork and getting along come through clearly. Overall, it is cute and likeable, particularly the puppies.
Abbygail and her friends are going on an overnight camping adventure down by the river. Rosebud returns to babysit. They discover a beautiful waterfall valley on the way to the campsite. That night Abbygail dreams of a fun adventure at the Ocean!
