WARNER BRO. HOME ENTERTAINMENT
These episodes are action-packed and captivating, though a bit too violent and serious in nature for children under the age of six. For example, in one episode a screaming fast slithering creature comes out of nowhere and devours a clone trooper whole - perhaps a bit much for more sensitive children. However, the battles are handled in an appropriate matter, without any blood or guts. The heroes of the story act defensively and do not fight without provocation. After all, this is war as the title states, and there isn't anything tame or pretty about war. For such short episodes, the story lines are well-developed. Our favorite story resembled the classic movie, "The Guns of Navarone." In this episode, the clones come to aid a world held captive, where they meet a young native girl who helps them to free her people from their captors. "Star Wars: The Clone Wars" is original and sure to captivate young viewers with its non-stop action, exciting characters and themes that are true to the original "Star Wars" ideology.
In the great storytelling tradition of Star Wars, Lucas film has created an animated Clone Wars series, a hugely popular Cartoon Network show now being released to DVD, that is sure to appeal to a whole new generation of Star Wars fans. Those familiar with the live-action Star Wars films will recognize favorite characters such as Anakin Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi, C-3PO, R2-D2 and Yoda, while being introduced to new members of the Clone Wars team.
