The Muppet Christmas Carol is based on the classic story A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens, but this telling of it stars the MUPPETS! This movie is for the whole family to watch together because it's fun, it's happy, it's joyful, and even though there are ghosts, it's not too scary for little kids. Basically it's the story about a greedy, older man named Scrooge, played by Michael Caine, who hates Christmas. The muppet Gonzo plays Charles Dickens, the story-teller, along with his mouse friend. If you remember from the tale, Scrooge is visited by three ghosts that give him a look at his life and what he might leave behind when he dies. Kermit plays Bob Cratchit, the father of little Tiny Tim, and the employee of the mean old Scrooge. The music in this movie is fun and very Christmassy. It makes me want to sing along! My favorite scene is when the entire cast is singing and dancing. It's so fun and put together well. I also really like the scene when Kermit is at work with all the mice. It's very funny! I give The Muppet Christmas Carol 5 out of 5 stars! Watch it over your school holiday with your family or friends while you sip mugs of hot chocolate in front of a warm fire. You'll be filled with Christmas spirit. Review by Makai Weber Colvin, age 10.
