Chronicle is one of the best movies of 2012 this year already. The characters in the film are very realistic and believable throughout the whole movie and are very enjoyable to watch. Anthony is the main protagonist and has a lot of troubles in his life. His father is an alcoholic and beats him, his mother is dying, and the kids at school are bullying him. The story really picks up when our heroes find a hole in the ground and go exploring there. They find some sort of stone that releases radiation on to them, giving them telekinesis. Telekinesis is the ability to move things with your mind. This is an awesome superpower you don't see often in the cinema and it's really well done in this film using some amazing special effects. I couldn't tell what was real and what was CGI. This movie is a perfect example of the movie magic. It does get quite graphic and scary sometimes and I don't recommend for children. I think a good age group would be 13 and up. Overall, a solid movie and I would give this movie 8 out of 10. Blake Hawes, age 15, KIDS FIRST! Film Critic.
