G.I. JOE RENEGADES: SEASON 1, VOLUME 1 cover image
The kids seem to have a good understanding of the story line and are able to follow it's complexities. "I like the way the characters gave each other nicknames." "They show how you can work together and forget about rank." One of the characters dies, but the kids appreciate how the team sticks together to finish it's mission. The characters dress appropriately for their names. Children have the urge to jump in and help, finding it very realistic.
An interesting animation story about a group of military personnel who are assigned to find out about illegal activity by a company named Cobra. Thought to be an upstanding company, the Renegades discover illegal and potentially deadly activity. The company turns the tables on them, labeling the Renegades as bad guys, and now they must clear their own name. It is appealing because it reminds me of things that happen in real life. Kids 8 years and older will be able to understand the story about the soldiers and their mission to fight against evil doing. The Renegades display teamwork and compassion. They teach an interesting lesson about power and truth. The animation and audio is very realistic.
When a mission against Cobra Industries goes awry, a group of G.I. Joe members is forced to become fugitives. Now they must use their wits and training to prove their innocence before being caught. Features vocal talent of Lee Majors and Clancy Brown.
