When I saw that they were making a movie based off the show, I expected it to be not very different from the series. I was very wrong. The movie has its ups and downs. It does have a very fun adventure and quite a few other great, unexpected elements!

The movie has bright animations, adventure, comedy, a much unexpected twist and much, much more. The movie is very fun and energetic! As a huge fan of MLP, I was thrilled to see this film and follow my favorite characters into the new adventures.

The adventure begins when Twilight becomes a princess and is not used to it. One day during the night, a fellow pony steals her crown and escapes to a different dimension. This crown is what protects where Twilight live, so to get it back she needs to go to a different world where she is a... Human?!

I liked most of the songs and the actors did an amazing job in this movie but there was a down side. You cannot watch the movie without knowing the series. The animation isn't as good and the songs weren't the same as the TV show. I'm sure those few things were very disappointed for fellow bronies and new fans that were trying to find their way into the Equestria world.

My favorite scene is when Twilight realizes she's a human. Twilight is looking at herself like "I have hands and legs" and it's just very amusing.

The movie is not adult like at all, for that reason I would give it an age rating of 2 to 18. Since the movie has its down moments and could use better animation quality, I would give it 3 out of 5 stars.

When her crown is stolen from the Crystal Empire, Twilight pursues the thief, Sunset Shimmer, into an alternate world where she finds herself turned into...a teenage girl! To regain her crown and return to Equestria, Twilight must learn how to fit into this strange new world and defeat Sunset Shimmer in a competition to become crowned Princess of the Fall Formal at Canterlot High. Luckily, she'll have the assistance of Spike and five teenage girls who remind her of a certain group of ponies back home.
