Turtle Tale is a really fantastic film. The story has many twists, but it centers around a skateboarding teen, Calvin, who makes a mistake and lands himself community service. He's placed at an animal sanctuary, where he learns that he's a natural with the animals and the rangers who volunteer there. After learning some tough lessons, Calvin takes responsibility for his actions and even becomes friends with the family whom suffered due to his accident. There's also talking turtles who provide great comedic relief! All of the turtles have their own personalities and stories that tie into some of the themes in this title. There are romances (both human and turtle), the overcoming of adversities, conquering of fears and a message of kindness throughout the story. I recommend this movie for the whole family.
This film is inspired by events that took place at the George C. McGough Nature Park in Largo, Florida - the story of Jr. the Owl as witnessed and told by the nature park's first inhabitants, 'the turtles."
