This film has a very artistic feeling to it. It's exceptionally well produced and the young actors are quite engaging. It's intriguing to watch because, while it's not overtly suspenseful, you're on the edge of your seat wondering what is going to happen next. The colors in the film are all so vibrant and wonderfully eye catching. So much that I did not want to look away from the screen for even a second. The story is about two young girls who venture outside against their parents' warnings and find a large bathtub plug in the ground. When they pull the plug, they find something they would have never thought they would find, and they end up wishing they would've listened to their parents. The film leaves us with a cliffhanger. I wanted to know what happened but, you don't find out. I suppose we'll have to wait for its sequel. The film flows well and has a very mysterious feel to it. The cinematography is quite wonderful. The camera work and sound quality are excellent. The animation adds to the film and is appropriately used. The storyline is intriguing and suspenseful. I think that adults would enjoy watching it with their middle and high school aged children. I recommend it for ages 8 to 15 and give it 4.5 out of 5 stars. Perhaps the only hiccup with it is that the girls venture into the woods against their parents' warnings. Reviewed by Kelsey M and Julie S., KIDS FIRST! Jurors.
This film is a fairytale adventure of Violet and Savannah, two sisters who disobey their parent's warning by venturing into a brooding forest. There, they discover a large plug wedged into the forest floor. What lurks beneath the plug? The girls cannot resist finding out. Their curiosity sends them down a kaleidoscopic drain pipe and into a strange and startling journey of no return.
