I absolutely love this film! It is an ode to mothers - young and old - and the importance they play in our lives. All of the actors in this film are compelling and tell this story well. The ending is particularly touching. A great addition to any family or children's film festival. Recommended for ages 7 to 18. Reviewed by Julie S. KIDS FIRST! Juror.
I enjoyed this very much. It is a sweet story that kids will easily relate to. A child will enjoy the nice ending and the characters in it are very positive characters. The only thing that concerns me is that there are a lot of words to read, so a child has to be able to read fast enough to keep up. It has several important messages for children - taking care of your parents and family, showing generosity and picking up on social cues. The characters are easy to relate to. This is a family life, multi generational topic. The costuming is appropriate. The vocabulary is appropriate. The story flows well and can easily be followed. Recommended for ages 8 to 18. Nanhi Neend' is a film I have made with the intent of highlighting the role that our mothers play in our lives. It is some times easy to take our mothers for granted because of their selfless love towards us, and this is what I've tried to bring out with this short film. I find this is the right time to pay my humble tribute to mothers everywhere - just a little 'thank you' for everything they've done for us.
