This is a very fun and enjoyable short film. I like the film's premise about a little girl who is able to control the adults with rag dolls she found in an antique chest. It makes for some very funny actions by the characters who don't understand what's happening to them. This film is perfect for children because the dolls get to know each other better and they see them in live action form. It makes sense and flows very well. The storyline is consistent and the language is appropriate for its intended audience. The music is very complimentary, almost like what is used in a silent film. It sets the mood and drives the pace. And, it's a happy sound. The quality of the cinematography is high, as is the audio. It should project well on a big screen. Most importantly, I think it will make young viewers laugh. I give it 4 out of 5 stars and recommend it for ages 4 to 14. Reviewed by Ryan R. and Julie S, KIDS FIRST! Playtime turns into uncontrolled shenanigans when a young girl discovers rag dolls in an antique chest. For the dolls' very real counterparts, self-control is out of their hands.
