The USA Film Festival - KidFilm

Are you looking for something to do this weekend? If you are in the Dallas, Texas area, look no further. It’s KidFilm® time again! On January 19 and 20, 2008, the USA Film Festival presents KidFilm®, highlighting many KIDS FIRST! titles and Mallory Lewis, who will perform with the beloved puppet, Lamb Chop.

Families will have the opportunity to view titles such as “Labou” and “Barney: Celebrating Around the World.” Did you know that it’s the lovable dinosaur’s 20th birthday this year? Join the festivities as Barney comes to the KidFilm festival on Sunday the 20th, to celebrate the occasion with you and your family. You can even get your photo taken with him!

Other special guests this weekend include Doreen Cronin, award-winning author of “Click, Clack, Moo: Cows That Type” (a KIDS FIRST! endorsed title from Weston Woods); illustrator Betsy Lewin; and the energetic team The Swingset Mamas.

It's Barney's Birthday!

The purple dinosaur danced into our hearts years ago and now entertains and educates our children. The lovable dino. and his buddies are sharing the occasion with young viewers in their newest DVD, "Barney: Celebrating Around the World," from Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment and HIT Entertainment, which hits the shelves Jan. 29, 2008.

In this title you can join Barney and his friends as they take a magical train ride on Barney's Imagination Unlimited and explore the different types of celebrations around the world. All you Barney lovers out there can visit the web site and check out the Video on Demand programming on PBS Kids Sprout. And don't forget to mark your calendar for the 29th when you can get your own copy of the DVD!
