(brief summary of storyline including the moral of the story if there is any and/or what is to be learned) This is a powerful "coming of age" story about Claire, a young girl attending college, who visits her "less than thrilling" Nevada hometown and is suddenly faced with a vast amount of responsibility when her father unexpectedly dies, forcing her to leave college and her new friends in order to care for the family hotel business and her two younger siblings.
