Are you a fan of a hit animated show My Little Pony Friendship is Magic? I am and Season 5 of last year had some fantastic episodes. Five episodes that are the “best of the best” are in this DVD which will make My Little Pony fans laugh, cry and more.

The show features many adventures and stories with good storylines and great morals. As always in this series, you will find a good amount of silly humor and a small dose of drama, which makes the shows more entertaining. All contain a very important and strong message embedded into each episode.

Four of the five episodes concentrate on six ponies who travel to different places in a land called Equestria and show how they help other ponies through friendship. However, the 100th episode of the series comprises the sixth episode and, to honor that, the show features all the different background characters (characters that have appeared in the show a lot and whose back stories fans know). Every episode contains a positive message that the story leads up to and they all have to do with the theme of the series – friendship.

The animation show in this show features colors as vibrant and beautiful as ever. The entire show takes twists and turns that create exciting episodes and keep the viewer hooked. Many of the episodes include songs and, this DVD contains several bonus features including an extra song.  Each song perfectly suites its episode and makes you want to sing afterwards. The voice actors deliver great performances. Even after five seasons of doing the same characters, they still surprise us with their versatile personalities.

The 100th episode truly stands as one of my all-time favorites. As a long-time fan of the series, I fell in love with the extra characters that I would see maybe once or twice in a season. With fun songs, lots of jokes and references, this episode just stands out, especially to the followers of the show such as myself.

I recommend this show for ages 3 to 18. Younger kids will enjoy the bright colors and older kids can appreciate the messages, the storylines and the production values. I give it 5 out of 5 stars for keeping the same level of quality after over 40 hours of episodes, with catchy songs, important morals, intense storyline, emotional voice over and clear, bright special effects.
