This is the third in a series of \u201ctrip\u201d films and aired at the 2017 Tribeca Film Festival.\u00a0 What I find interesting is Michael Winterbottom never actually wrote a script. It is more of an outline explaining where each scene takes place, who is in it and what subjects will be discussed.\u00a0 Most of the lines are improvised by the actors.<img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-1563\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.kidsfirst.org\/kidsfirstnews\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/tripspain.g-300x170.jpg?resize=222%2C126\" alt=\"\" width=\"222\" height=\"126\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.kidsfirst.org\/kidsfirstnews\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/tripspain.g.jpg?resize=300%2C170&amp;ssl=1 300w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.kidsfirst.org\/kidsfirstnews\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/tripspain.g.jpg?resize=768%2C436&amp;ssl=1 768w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.kidsfirst.org\/kidsfirstnews\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/tripspain.g.jpg?resize=1024%2C582&amp;ssl=1 1024w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.kidsfirst.org\/kidsfirstnews\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/tripspain.g.jpg?w=1500&amp;ssl=1 1500w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 222px) 100vw, 222px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><em>The Trip to Spain<\/em> is shot on location which allows for some magnificent cinematography.\u00a0 There are numerous\u00a0 breathtaking views from the many restaurants they visit.\u00a0 One thing I found annoying was the abrupt cuts the camera takes to show locals eating or sitting around.\u00a0 I found it unnecessary and actually distracting from the plot.<\/p>\n<p>I enjoy dry, deadpan humor.\u00a0 I also think the m<img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-1564 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.kidsfirst.org\/kidsfirstnews\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/tripspain.f-300x170.jpg?resize=221%2C125\" alt=\"\" width=\"221\" height=\"125\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.kidsfirst.org\/kidsfirstnews\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/tripspain.f.jpg?resize=300%2C170&amp;ssl=1 300w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.kidsfirst.org\/kidsfirstnews\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/tripspain.f.jpg?resize=768%2C436&amp;ssl=1 768w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.kidsfirst.org\/kidsfirstnews\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/tripspain.f.jpg?resize=1024%2C582&amp;ssl=1 1024w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.kidsfirst.org\/kidsfirstnews\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/tripspain.f.jpg?w=1500&amp;ssl=1 1500w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 221px) 100vw, 221px\" \/>any impressions Steve and Rob do throughout the film are fun to watch.\u00a0 Obviously I cannot relate when they make references to their 50-year-old selves, but I often laughed at the situational humor.<\/p>\n<p>I give it 3.5 out of 5 stars and recommend it for ages 12 to 18.
