Ford decides to throw\ntheir hat in the ring, in hopes that a victory at Le Mans will raise their struggling sales.\nThe former racer turned car designer Carrol Shelby (Matt Damon) and his difficult,\nbut passionate racer pal Ken Miles (Christian Bale) are both brought on to help\nFord craft a car to get to the finish line.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Beneath\nthe technical polish and gloss of <em>Ford V\nFerrari<\/em>, the friendship between Shelby and Miles is the heart of the film.\nChristian Bale and Matt Damon are a large part of what makes this film work so\nwell. This is their first movie together and yet, they interact with the ease\nof old friends. Their performances complement each other. The stellar sound design\nand mixing are some of the best and extremely transportive. They give the\nracing sequences not just an immersive quality, but a transcendent one. James\nMangold\u2019s direction is excellent. He gives you sequences that put you on the\nedge of your seat and capture your gaze. More so, Mangold has a strong grasp on\npacing. The film knows when to slow down and emphasize character and emotion\nand when to boost its engine and hightail it to the next scene. In a film this\nlong, it\u2019s remarkable that it feels as breezy as it does. Even if you\u2019re not a race car fanatic, there\u2019s a good chance you\u2019ll\nlove this film.&nbsp; I happily give it 5 out\nof 5 stars. The cast is lead by Matt Damon as Carroll\nShelby and Christian Bale as Ken Miles.&nbsp;\nBoth actors are inspiring to watch; their interaction and relationship\nis gripping as they hurtle through space and time.&nbsp; Each actor contributes to this magnificent\nstory and fuels the emotional journey.&nbsp;\nThere are so many breakout performances in this film that they each\ndeserve a Lap of Honour. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Ford v Ferrari <\/em>is directed by James Mangold\nand casting is by Ronna Kress.&nbsp; On the race track lives depend on the pit\ncrew and your support team in life is equally important to your ultimate\ndirection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I rate\nthis film 5 out of 5 stars and recommend it for ages 8 to 18, plus adults.&nbsp;
