Over the four-day event, Goonies lovers can retrace the steps of characters in the film by touring filming locations including the famous \u201cGoonies House,\u201d bowl at \u201cChunk\u2019s Bowling Alley\u201d and more, plus have the chance to mingle with original cast members including Corey Feldman, Jeff Cohen, Joe Pantoliano and Curt Hanson.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>As part of the 25th anniversary festivities, the new Oregon Film Museum will open its doors for the first time. Converted from the old Clatsop County Jail featured in \u201cThe Goonies,\u201d the museum is dedicated to preserving and celebrating the art and legacy of Oregon films and film-making.\u00a0 One of the many highlights is a special exhibit in the actual jail cell from, \u201cThe Goonies,\u201d as well as stories, mementos and props from famous movies made in Astoria and across Oregon, such as \u201cKindergarten Cop,\u201d \u201cAnimal House,\u201d \u201cTwilight\u201d and more.<\/p>\n<p>Original cast members and other celebrities will be on-hand to mark the occasion, including:<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Corey Feldman, who played \u201cMouth,\u201d plus his band Truth Movement<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Jeff Cohen, the hilarious and beloved \u201cChunk\u201d<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Joe Pantoliano, who appeared as the villainous \u201cFrancis Fratelli\u201d<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Curt Hanson, who portrayed \u201cMr. Perkins,\u201d the richest man in Astoria<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The alternative band The Ataris, whose album \u201cSo Long, Astoria\u201d was inspired by a trip to visit Goonies sites<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Goonies\u201d 25th Anniversary<\/p>\n<p>Friday \u2013 Monday, June 4 \u2013 7, 2010<\/p>\n<p>Weekend events include:<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Bus tours of filming sites, including an interior tour of the Goonies House<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Red carpet event and showing of \u201cThe Goonies\u201d and a new documentary about the film at the Liberty Theater on Friday, plus additional movie showings throughout the weekend at other local theaters<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Stars from the movie signing autographs, along with local residents sharing memories from being on set<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 An \u201880s night out on Friday in downtown Astoria with costume contests, music, bowling at \u201cChunk\u2019s Bowling Alley\u201d and more<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 A \u201cGoonies\u201d themed concert on Saturday at Warren Field featuring Corey Feldman\u2019s band, Truth Movement, the alternative band The Ataris, bluegrass band The Whiskey Rebellion and the pop-punk band Troy\u2019s Bucket<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Hand-crafted \u201cGoonies\u201d beers created by local breweries<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 A \u201cTruffle Shuffle\u201d 5k Run\/Walk on Monday<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The new Oregon Film Museum grand opening and \u201cGoonies\u201d exhibit<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 An Ecola Park picnic with fans and cast members in nearby Cannon Beach<\/p>\n<p>Visit <a href=\"http:\/\/www.GooniesAnniversary.com\" target=\"_blank\">http:\/\/www.GooniesAnniversary.com<\/a> for complete event details.
