Description:

Princess Odette, Prince Derek and their faithful animal friends Puffin, Speed and Jean-Bob are back for an all-new, musical Swan Princess adventure! When Prince Derek attempts to rescue his mother Queen Uberta from the clutches of the evil Clavius, he discovers Clavius' plan to steal the magic Orb hidden deep in the Prince's castle. To stop him, Odette must use the Orb's magical powers and once again transform into the beautiful Swan Princess. It will take all her power plus the help of her friends to save their kingdom. If they fail, Clavius will rule the enchanted land and Odette will remain a swan forever.

Life isn't always easy even when you live in a fairytale land, and sometimes you have to become a swan to save the person you love. Or at least this is how the story goes in this imaginative tale. Fans of the first Swan Princess movie will enjoy seeing Princess Odette and Prince Derek one year after their joyous wedding. Unfortunately, life isn't so joyous anymore. Prince Derek doesn't have time for anyone because he is too busy dealing with the pressures of ruling the kingdom. Odette understands what he Is going through, but can't help feeling a bit lonely when he doesn't take time to be with her. His inattentiveness to family matters leaves a wide opening for the evil Clavious, who kidnaps Prince Derek's mother Queen Uberta. As Prince Derek takes time out of his busy schedule and attempts to rescue her, he realizes that he needs to get his priorities straightened out. When troubles arise for him during his rescue operation, it's up to princess Odette to save her love by once again becoming a swan. Her faithful friends, a frog who is certain his is a prince, a turtle and a bird keep viewers laughing at their antics during the exciting rescue operation. "The Swan Princess and the Secret of the Castle" is an engaging tale with appropriate pacing for its intended audience. The music is appealing and it promotes a balanced appreciation of self and others.

Good. It's not as good as the first one. Puffin and the frog and the turtle had great personalities. They were very funny. I like how the princess had to save herself and sometimes had to save Derek. Usually the stories have the prince rescuing the princess.
