This movie was surprisingly good. It was enjoyable. You knew what was going to happen, but now how it was going to happen, which kept it interesting. The voices fit the parts well because they made the fox sound human with an animal-side, which is perfect. The animation was snappy, rather than smooth, but it fit the story. It looked almost perfect when the foxes were slinking around. I think my friends would love this because it's different. My favorite part was watching the fox steal the chickens. The conclusion was pretty realistic. They were happy enough.
When Fox finds out he is going to be a father, he promises his wife that he is going to put his thieving ways behind him. He does not hold true to this promise, and chaos ensues as the farmers he steals from try to get him back, affecting the entire underground animal community. As he struggles to right things, the fox is also working on his relationship with his son while learning who he, himself, truly is. "Fantastic Mr. Fox" keeps the viewing audience riveted and assists children in working through problems and emotional issues. It inspires children to find reasonable, positive solutions to problems and promote the balance appreciation of self and others.
A fox is in the henhouse, and this time you are rooting for him. This film, based on the child's book by Roald Dahl, is an entertaining stop-motion animation featuring the voices of Meryl Streep, George Clooney, Michael Gambon and Bill Murray.
