VEGGIE TALES: PISTACHIO cover image
We love Veggie Tales, and this is as good as all the others. It is funny how they upgraded Qwerty and said they decorated when all they did was paint the wall and add a throw pillow. It was the "Pinocchio" story. The characters were nice. It taught me about listening to parents. Sometimes I don't want to listen to my parents, but I have to. It's usually a good thing when I do obey. The songs are fun. I liked how they played games, and he didn't know they were cheating. It showed he wasn't really thinking. If he was thinking, he would have figured out they were trying to trick them.
In "Pistachio," a young boy has a question about obeying his parents even when he doesn't want to. The veggie characters tell the tale of "Pinocchio" with a classic veggie twist to demonstrate how important it is to be honest and to listen to your parents. It emphasizes that parents are older and have more experience and tell children to do things out of love for them. "Pistachio" has a serious message, but also has a great use of humor, which is appropriate to audiences of all ages. It provides positive role models for interpersonal relationships, addressing issues of respect and honesty.
Veggie Tales is updated! Don't worry, you can still sing along with the popular theme song, but its presentation is a bit different. The kitchen has new decor, and even Qwerty has had an upgrade. When children have questions for the beloved vegetables, they used to write letters. Then they sent text messages. Now Qwerty shows children asking their questions through videos clips.
