In this Australian short, 7-year-old Nick must come to terms with the fact that his father may not actually be a super hero. Nick's struggle with the truth and his father's struggle with cancer are illustrated through this blend of live action and animation. The themes of losing a parent and losing faith in your parent's hero status are handled carefully in this well crafted short film. I love the last line, "My Dad was a Superhero, always was, always will be" as we see his son taking on elements of his deceased Dad's personality.
Nick is a 7-year old with a secret: his Dad is a superhero with x-ray vision, inflatable muscles and the power to change traffic lights from red to green.
