MR. CHRISTMAS cover image
Well produced indi film. First feature by Beth Brickell. Set in 1941, in rural America, just before Roosevelt gets the U.S. involved in WW II. Costumes, sets, and social interactions are typical of the time period. Portrays how small town American families struggled to make ends meet at a time that the country was gearing up for war.
A young father, Joel, can't afford to buy his 5-year-old daughter, Carol Lee, what she's expecting Santa Claus to bring her for Christmas. Because she has written a letter to the North Pole, Carol Lee is certain that Santa will bring her the bicycle that is 'number one' on her list. The heartwarming family story has a surprise, uplifting ending that is guaranteed to put anyone of any age in the Christmas spirit.
