The Titanic is my favorite movie by far. This romantic masterpiece starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet, tells a tale of love, loss, and tragedy. I remember the first time I watched the Titanic. I was seven years old, and I've been hooked ever since. This was the first film that really made me cry, and even though I've seen it about a billion times, I still get choked up. This movie is beautifully done. I love that the cinematography is so grand and breathtaking even though the film came out in 1997. I especially love the way they capture the Titanic in all it's glory. I'm a total history geek when it comes to the Titanic. I've seen every documentary and read every book there is to read about the Titanic, so the fact that they used actual footage of the wreckage of Titanic was really cool. My favorite characters and Rose and Jack of course! They defy the rules of their different social statuses and were in true love. Not only were those characters great, but Kate and Leonardo did a masterful job in these roles. I love the whole movie but my favorite scene would have to be when rose and jack are running through the ship away from the butler after the drawing scene. It lightens the mood of the film before the sinking, and is quite funny. Plus, you almost get a mini tour of the ship. I also admire the final few scenes in which the ship is sinking. The way it was capture was amazing. It's the perfect mix of chaos and emotion, which really conveys the tragedy in a brilliant way. Like I said, this film is very tragic, and that fact that it was an actual event makes it even more sad. I would recommend this film for all ages, even though it is sad and slightly inappropriate, I watched it when I was 5 and nothing bothered me. This is a must see movie, and I give it 5 out of 5 stars, I'd give it more if I could! The Titanic is in stores now on DVD and Blu Ray so be sure to add it to your home movie collection today! The Oscar winning film Titanic is very emotional and unforgettable. Rose DeWitt Bukater (Kate Winslet), a girl that is use to the up side in life is engaged to a snotty rich man Caledon (Cal) Hockley (Billy Zane). But, Rose Bukater and Jack Dawson (Leonardo DiCaprio) a boy whose pockets are usually empty and doesn't always know where he's going to sleep the next night, meet in an unusual way on the ill-fated maiden voyage of the RMS Titanic. They fall in love almost instantly on a ship that they call unsinkable. I absolutely love this film because it's very romantic, emotional and I could not stop crying. The acting by everyone is really good as well as the visual effects. Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet are superb together. There is one song that I really love and it's called My Heart Will Go On. I think that it fits in perfectly with this film. Titanic has one great scene after another. My favorite part is when one of the few survivors, Rose, is reciting the story of the Titanic. When she is telling the story, you can visually see it and sometimes you hear her voice. Director, James Cameron, creates a totally believable film. The sinking scenes are horrifying, just as I'm sure they were the actual night of this tragedy. A message I found in this film is no matter where you come from in the world, or if you are rich or poor, you can do anything and be with anyone. Also, no matter how bad the situation is, power your way to get through it. I recommend Titanic for ages 13 to adults. It's based on some true events with realistic depictions of the violence and deaths which may be a little too intense for younger kids. I think that most of the viewers that watch this film will get teary eyed as I did. The Titanic is definitely a great film and is one of my all time favorites. I give it 5 out of 5 stars. With its great plot and romance, it's a visual pleasure which I can happily see over and over again. You have to make sure you see this amazing and unforgettable film. It's now available on a DVD and Blu-Ray combo pack and is waiting for you to pick up. Brianna Hope Beaton, age 12, KIDS FIRST! Film Critic.

This classic epic film by award-winning director James Cameron holds a place in the "love story Hall of Fame" with one of the most tangent love stories of all time tied to the real life tragedy of the Titanic. The performances by Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet secured their future success as film stars.
