Good story about a young adult who has become so famous that she has forgotten how to treat others. Through her long journey, she discovers herself, finds friends and family, and learns that life is better when you can share it with others. She makes a conscious decision, after many bad ones, to always use her talent to help others. The characters are really interesting, multi-layered and the story line was very good. Great music, lessons in music history and lots of moral and character-building assets. Good production values. Some stereotyping in the bratty young star and the country church clothing - maybe a bit dated. Message is somewhat religious in nature but overall very well-done.
The journey shows us what sound a spoiled young rock star makes when she is out of tune with life and how far her understudy will go to replace her.
