"Monster House" is a clever roller coaster ride of a story that takes place in an extremely thrilling house of terror. This movie takes place near the coming of Halloween. Three friends risk their young lives to save the spirit of this holiday. They take a miraculous journey through a house that holds some valuable secrets.

DJ is our main character (voiced by Mitchel Musso from A PAIR OF KINGS & HANNAN MONTANA) and his best friend Chowder (SUBURGATORY's Sam Lerner) notice something strange lying beneath the house across the street. The two friends come across a girl, Jenny (BIG TIME RUSH's Spencer Locke), who's wondering about the house as well. Fortunately for the two boys, Jenny was made for adventure! Soon, this group of three children end up in this house and something happens that makes them want to escape quickly.

I thought that the idea of this movie is clever and not like most monster movies. That's a good thing! There is so much adventure and action that I was almost out of my chair by the time the movie was over.

I think the message of this movie is that no matter what your age, you can succeed as long as you put your mind to it.

I was impressed by the animation; it blew my mind. Even though it was animation, it looks real but still able to amuse me and scare me (almost out of my chair!)

The music was nice because you can hear it softly playing in the background and it never interferes with the movie, but it definitely livens things up and keeps things suspenseful.

I recommend this film to ages seven and up because things can get pretty scary and intense at times; but when you understand it, you can have lots of fun watching this movie with your family and friends.

I give this film five out of five stars because it is flawless with lots of story, emotions, and of course, surprises.
