MAGICFRANK'S LESSONS IN MAGIC: EVEN MORE MAGIC 4 FUN DVD
KIDS FIRST ENDORSED
MAGICFRANK'S LESSONS IN MAGIC: EVEN MORE MAGIC 4 FUN DVD
MAGICFRANK'S LESSONS IN MAGIC
Series: INDEPENDENT FEATURE, AGES 5-12
Description - Frank DeMasi teaches 22 new tricks with everyday objects; including cotton balls, crayons, pencils, sponges, coins and even a few card tricks.
KIDS FIRST!® Adult Jurors say - Well presented. The magic tricks are explained and broken down into minute explanations. Pretty dry presentation that appeals to a specific audience - one that wants to learn how to do magic tricks. The presentation is laid out very methodically - one trick after another. First, the trick is named, then demonstrated, then explained. Gives the audience language to use with their presentation. Tricks are generally simple and props needed are not out of line but easy to find. There are young assistants used, both boys and girls, which will appeal to the audience. I wish there was more interaction and surprise. Some language is too advanced for the target age such as "reverse count force." Production is very low budget, one camera, with limited camera angles, no panning, no background music. Magic Frank's head is fuzzy at times.
KIDS FIRST!® Kid Jurors say - Kids who are into magic would like this a lot. Others did not stay with it as they got bored. "It needs a little David Copperfield." "The magician is nice and his helpers are too." "It was boring because it's just one trick after another." "I love magic and I would like to take this home so I can learn the tricks."
Runtime: 72 minutes
