Beautifully shot, pretty intense, background music adds to the intensity. The scene with the laundry in the attic is surreal, looking like a landscape of another sort. In the end, the boy is quite the hero, bravely slaying the monster, But, is this all a dream? Subtitled. Wonderful fantasy.
Yannik, an introverted boy, retreated from the cold family life with his stressed single mother into his shell- a playful fairytale world with princes and monsters. When Mother sends the 7 year old, for disciplinary reasons, to hand up the laundry in the attic, the freshly washed linen metamorphoses into the fantasy monster Kabamir! To defeat this, Yannik has to overcome his biggest fear and show he is more than a small boy - a brave Prince!
