Cute, kitschy collection of shorts about a high school girl named Jane who writes cartoons about her alter ego, "Danger Jane." Though Danger Jane gets Jane in trouble, she also teaches her a lesson about being herself and standing up for what is right. These short episodes would be great for KIDS FIRST! Film Festival if re-edited as one short film. Suitable for Middle School as well as younger High School students. The young actors' performances are quite believable. They are very good on-camera and the script sounds quite realistic. Good production values as well. Overall, the "mini-series" offers a fun mix of fantasy with reality. Total length is not quite 24 minutes, as it includes the intro and exit on each of the six episodes.
Jane Westphall an ordinary High School freshman with a secret. Her alter ego is a super hero who no one else can see. Where Jane is nervous and somewhat shy, Danger Jane is brassy and daring. Jane and Danger Jane make messes together and then clean them up together, they argue a lot but in the end they need each other to navigate the horrors of high school!
