A modern day twist to the age-old classic Cinderella, with an artsy pair of running shoes - that can talk! - replacing the glass slipper, and a teen heartthrob boy, replacing Prince Charming. A lovely animated tale, suitable for boys and girls. The characters are likeable and realistic. The moral: if you dream big enough, you can achieve your goals. A coming-of-age story, in which a girl leaves her "girly" ways behind and blossoms into a young woman, growing up before her mother's very own eyes, intellectually, through making good choices (proper footwear for the occasion) and by letting go of her childhood ideology (hand-decorated shoes which demonstrated her teenage crush on a music heartthrob), and instead opting for a more adult view of the world, "It doesn't matter if I don't get into the concert, it's just a concert."
