With this script, the writer shows his belief that children have the ability to take on great tasks, with a potential aptitude for many difficult activities. By pitting children in the story against pirates, sea monsters, robotic killer insects and against themselves, he shows us that they can accomplish more than most adults believe. Children will enjoy the high-tech submarines, action and chase scenes, while the developed characters who mature, make this film interesting. Unfortunately, it is most appealing to kids aged around 12-years-old (Matvey's age in the story), but given the few extremely violent scenes and bad language, we could not recommend it for kids under the age of 16. This is an excellent re-write, a complex story with interesting characters.
