I wholeheartedly recommend this for the KIDS FIRST! Film Festival. The whole Paper Puppet Playhouse is fantastic and so well done that I placed it on a playlist from YouTube so that I can watch the rest of the series. The narrator is quite engaging. Listening to his versions of the various characters is quite engaging. It makes you appreciate the talent of this voice over artist. The animation is wonderfully adorable and really immerses you in the story. It's simple 2D animation which is appropriate for its intended audience. My son is 20 months and thoroughly enjoyed this in every way. The storyline flows very well and is very suitable for its target audience. Watching the wolf trying to blow the houses down is really funny because the animation softens the aggressive wolf. This would look fantastic on the big screen. I think it's a great take on the story. I recommend this for ages 2 to 6, but I greatly enjoyed it myself. I give this 5 out of 5 stars. If you are looking for preschool programming for your festival, this is one that fits the bill! Reviewed by Rachael V., KIDS FIRST! juror.
The Three Little Pigs is a fairly tale about three little pigs who each build new homes before being visited by the Big Bad Wolf. One pig takes the easiest way and builds a house out of straw. The second pig also chooses an easy way and builds his house out of sticks. The third little pig builds a strong house out of brick. Which house do you think will be the safest and strongest?
