The student made film Sticky Affirmations is positive and fun! The special effects give a light tone; the music is upbeat and adds to a cool friendship.

The story follows two girls that give each other sticky notes and help each other out whenever the going gets tough. The storyline is bright and airy. The friends spread positivity by helping each other out. They present a new way to help your friends.

The camerawork is well done - clean, balanced lighting and good audio. The background music helps keep the tone light, however it overpowers the character's voices at times. The visual effects of animated sticky notes are cute and tidy. The characters, Sarah (Samantha Alise) and Emily (Phoenix Martin) maintain their friendship throughout the film. The actresses deliver believable performances that make the friendship feel natural. Phoenix Martin directs, writes, and acts in the film, which is an outstanding contribution. My favorite part is the introduction to the friends and the sticky note additions.

The message is to spread positivity and to treat others with kindness.

I give Sticky Affirmations 4 out of 5 stars and recommend it for ages 10 to 14. Reviewed by Heather S., KIDS FIRST!
