Surprisingly feminist for its time. Addresses overcoming fears, taking a stand, being wary of strangers and following one's dream. This is not Lewis Carroll's original tale but it's engaging nonetheless. Lots of humor and a touch of haughtiness. |

Mixed reactions. "While they loved the slapstick humor and got the general gist of the story, they missed the parts that made it worthwhile." They were not impressed either with acting, costumes or scenery, and hated the songs. |
