The games are for all ages, sizes, abilities, and both genders. Mainly, they're fun! KIDS FIRST!® Adult Jurors say - Has a lot of good ideas for games. A good video for a teacher or counselor who works with kids. It is impressive how many games are in this set. Games are introduced, taught and then you can watch the kids playing. There were some sound quality issues, like the dialogue not matching up with the person shown talking, and voices switching between an "outside sound" and an "inside" microphone sound, which was somewhat distracting. KIDS FIRST!® Kid Jurors say - Kids thought it would be fun to try new games, but many were bored watching it. They recommended this more for adults who work with kids than for kids themselves. MAGICFRANK'S LESSONS IN MAGIC: EVEN MORE MAGIC 4 FUN DVD MAGICFRANK'S LESSONS IN MAGIC Series: INDEPENDENT FEATURE, AGES 5-12 Description - Frank DeMasi teaches 22 new tricks with everyday objects; including cotton balls, crayons, pencils, sponges, coins and even a few card tricks. KIDS FIRST!® Adult Jurors say - Well presented. The magic tricks are explained and broken down into minute explanations. Pretty dry presentation that appeals to a specific audience - one that wants to learn how to do magic tricks. The presentation is laid out very methodically - one trick after another. First, the trick is named, then demonstrated, then explained. Gives the audience language to use with their presentation. Tricks are generally simple and props needed are not out of line but easy to find. There are young assistants used, both boys and girls, which will appeal to the audience. I wish there was more interaction and surprise. Some language is too advanced for the target age such as "reverse count force." Production is very low budget, one camera, with limited camera angles, no panning, no background music. Magic Frank's head is fuzzy at times. Not too complicated, the delivery is well designed for the target audience. Clear images; audio. The host's costume is a bit corny but it still works. The drawing subjects - pirates, treasure, swords - are themes that appeal to kids. KIDS FIRST!® Kid Jurors say - Enjoyable. "I like art in school. I liked seeing how you draw sharks and pirates." "The man in the costume taught us how to draw." "There were no put downs or bad behavior." "I really liked the pirate costumes." One six-year-old boy who loves to draw loved it.
