FAMILIES OF CANADA cover image
There are two children in the program. It shows how each one spends their days with their family and at school. When the kids in Toronto celebrated Thanksgiving, everyone pitched it. Some parts I could relate to and others I couldn't because it was so different. "I loved seeing the lobsters, snails and other stuff in Nova Scotia." "I'd like to try the 'bug on the wall' thing." "I should help out more at home." .
Good exploration showing children living in another country - Canada. Though Canadians lifestyle differs little from ours, there are differences in the lifestyles of these two. For example, the family in Nova Scotia is in the fishing business. The scenes of Toronto show a sophisticated, cosmopolitan lifestyle and the nifty underground transportation system that allows people to go about their business without going outside during inclement weather.
Join two children and their families in Canada and experience similarities and differences. Visit their classrooms, participate in their activities and enjoy the Canadian Thanksgiving dinner. A part of highly acclaimed Families of the World series.
