Lovely holiday themed story. "It's about a singer who is a brat. Three ghosts come and teach her the true meaning of Christmas. After that she decides to be nice." "The cat was funny." "I loved it!" The kids liked how the pictures looked real. They liked the Christmas music and the costumes. The kids sang along to "We Wish You A Merry Christmas." They all danced and sang during "Joy To The World." They said they learned not to be rude and that it is important how you treat people. "If you are nice to others, they will be nice to you." Kids asked to watch it again when it was over.
A great twist on the original classic "A Christmas Carol," with Barbie taking the place of Scrooge. The story is a little different, but the message is the same - you should be a kind person. Like the original, Barbie is visited by three ghosts who teach Barbie to be charitable, patient and kind. Parents should be cautious about showing this film to young children who may be afraid of ghosts. Barbie's cat lightens the mood during the scarier parts. The artwork is magical and the music sets the mood of the story. Encourages children to stand up for their beliefs. Older kids can learn a good lesson in a fun way, but younger ones will appreciate the costumes, music, artwork and humor.
A heart-warming adaptation of the classic Dickens story filled with cherished Christmas carols, fabulous fashions and lots of laughs! The tale stars Barbie and Eden the glamorous singing diva of a theatre in Victorian London. Along with her snooty cat, Chuzzlewit, Eden selfishly plans to make all the theatre performers stay and rehearse on Christmas Day. Not even Eden's costume designer and childhood friend, Catherine can talk Eden out of her self-centered tantrum. It's up to three very unusual Christmas Spirits to take Eden on a fantastical holiday journey that will open her heart to the spirit of the season and the joy of giving.
