Delightful story, well told. Wonderful 2D animation. Bright, clear colors, clear audio. Alexandria's imagination is a wonderful thing and, for all we know the crocodile really exists. We can see it! Librarians will love this film!
Alexandra The Great Pretender, a feisty seven-year-old who is constantly battling with her mother to avoid homework, uses her imagination to escape the doldrums of learning. Her weapon of choice is her vivid imagination which she uses to escape from what she believes is the doldrums of learning. One day, Alexandra tries to get out of a trip to the library by telling her Mom she has just captured a crocodile. Her fabrications become more and more preposterous until, in a twist of fate, she finds herself in need of the library to get out of a rather risky situation.
