Narrated in iambic pentameter verse, a boy tries to get his dad's attention and listen to his fears of the night. Dad wants him to "just grow up." Dad learns his lesson for not listening in a most unusual way. The message is more of a wake up call for parents to listen to their kids than about the boy's fear of ghosts. I wouldn't want this to encourage children to play practical jokes on their parents, but it's well filmed, oddly creepy and somewhat satisfying. Too scary for young kids, but not for older ones who will get it and be amused.
On a dark and stormy night in the 1970's suburban home, a bad dad discovers that his son's fear of ghosts and goblins may be more real than he ever imagined.
