Just when you thought you would have to wait a year for the next Star Wars movie to come out, Disney is here to rescue the world from the long wait. On June 20th, Star Wars fans will have a new series to watch on Disney XD.

There are people who follow the Lego kits step by step and then, there are those who think outside of the box and build from their imagination and this is what a Freemaker truly is all about. Bill Motz and Bob Roth have captured the feel, characters and storyline of Star Wars which is why I love this new TV series. It feels like you are connecting with a friend who you have not seen for a while. It is easy to watch and everything is relatable and, of course, there are new ships, characters and gadgets to add to the Star Wars treasure chest.

There is a family of three scavengers who operate a salvage and repair shop in space living in the time period after The Empire Strikes Back and before Return of the Jedi. They are just trying to survive and pay the rent.

Roger Roger is back and has moved up to become a sidekick. I just love saying Roger, Roger, as it brings a smile to my face. No one but Matthew Woods could do it so perfectly. He has been a part of Star Wars forever and continues to work on various projects with great enthusiasm for this fantasy realm originally created by George Lucas. This series has the Star Wars humor, high stakes, the fate of lives, secrets and creative fun characters. I am with you Roger, Roger.

Nicolas Cantu as Rowan Freemaker, the little brother, is humorous as he is a klutz and trouble loves to follow him. His voice matches the animation and enhances the epic adventures he undertakes. He is my favorite character and I can't wait to see what will happen to him next. He has abilities that always seem to get the Star Wars characters into trouble as they learn to defeat the dark force and fight for good. Yes of course there is Darth Vander, his minions and the Storm Troopers who lurk in the background to trip up our heroes.

Eugene Byrd is no stranger to acting and his voice is an added bonus as the older brother who is still a kid but the real genius of the family. Zander Freemaker is the pilot and the one who knows how to build everything.

Kordi Freemaker is the female who tries to keep the family together. She has girl power, charm and charisma and uses these qualities to her advantage. Ferlark the landlord is no match for Vanessa Lengies who voices this character. She is always there to keep the boys in check. I love that she is a problem solver and smart.

The animation offers the LEGO'ized look of the Star Wars world. It is crisp and clear and gives you the sense of watching a Stars Wars movie. With this new series, the creators have also made yet another planet for us to visit and learn about.

The story line is great but my favorite thing about this series is all the new characters they have added. Even better is the fact that LEGO has made the characters and ships for this series. So buckle up and get ready for another Star Wars adventure.

I recommend this series to kids ages 8 to 18. Everyone who is a Star Wars fan will love this. After the first episode and I am hooked and waiting impatiently for the next installment. I give this series 5 out of 5 light sabers and May the Force be with You!!! Look for this series on Disney XD.

The series stars the Freemakers, a family of scavengers who build and sell starships from the scoured debris of space battles strewn throughout the galaxy. When their youngest discovers a natural connection with the Force through an ancient artifact . The Kyber Saber, his world is turned upside down, and he and his family are thrown into an epic struggle against the Empire to restore peace and freedom to the galaxy. Throughout their adventures, the Freemakers explore new worlds, meet new and familiar characters, and learn the true value of what it means to be a family.
