Highly recommended. This is a beautiful piece of animation filled with vibrant colors and wonderful imagery. It's very funny, but there is no dialogue. Child will enjoy this because it's clever and funny. It flows very well. It takes place on and in the water. The filmmakers based the location on beautiful Palau and they truly nailed the vivid colors, gorgeous aquatic life and stunning landscapes. It would be a pleasure to watch on the big screen. It's funny and child-appropriate. It would make a great addition to any film festival, particularly if you have any a theme of oceans, marine life or similar. The animation is clever and cute and manages tell the story without dialogue. It has a funny twist at the end. Recommended for ages 5 to 18. 5 out of 5 stars. Cuddlefish is the story of Viktor, a daring Viking on the adventure of a lifetime. His travels come to a grinding halt when he meets the adorable love-sick kraken, Kaimana, who falls in love with the anchor on Viktor's mighty ship. The two face off in an epic conflict of wit which teaches both of them that love is blind as far as the eye can "sea."
