The subject of this short film is not too uncommon but its treatment is definitely different. I think that kids will relate to the storyline and hence, recommend it for KIDS FIRST! Film Festivals. It's well produced with excellent cinematography, animation, background music and acting. I recommend it for ages 6-12 and give it 4 out of 5 stars. Reviewed by Julie S., KIDS FIRST! juror.

Lily performs surgery on her favorite stuffed animal. Unfortunately, there are complications. Lily hides her deed from her mother. That night, she has a nightmare. Animated in stop-motion, her doll Sammy has a measle-ectomy. The next morning, Lily finds that Sammy has risen from the dead. Daddys are good for something.
