What a lovely short film! I recommend this for the KIDS FIRST! Film Festival in a heartbeat. It invokes heart warming emotions that remind one of the importance of love and friendship. This storyline tells a beautiful story about an extraordinary relationship between a young student and her wonderful teacher. The main character Angel plays the role of the teacher with such heart. Everything makes sense, the story keeps the audience interested. It flows incredibly well, starting in the present, but has many flashbacks to Yang Yang and Angel's special relationship. The overall production deserves the highest rating possible it has very high production quality, talented actors and a beautiful story. Everything makes sense and the story keeps the audience interested. I am very confident that this film will look stunning once translated to the big screen. The sound quality is superb and surpassed my expectations. The visuals are very clear and the story translates spectacularly onto the screen. The cinematography is simple and well thought out. You can easily understand and identify the various settings. The costumes are simple. They consisted mostly of professional and scholarly uniforms. The ending is particularly touching. The story wraps up so perfectly. You should be aware that the dialogue is in Chinese with English sub-titles. I give the film 4.5 out of 5 stars and recommend it to kids ages 8 to 12 plus adults.
