In order to soothe her worries about being laughed at by peers when she answered a question wrong, Leia has a healing dream about being a search engine wiz. She comes across Lauren, the classmate that made fun of her in class and helps her find the astronomy answer that she missed in class. This heals Leia's mind and spirit and Leia gets back her sense of self. Perhaps the healing dream helps Lauren make amends with Leia as well. This is a very appealing and appropriate short for tweens and young teens. It is very clever and the theme is quite original. Healing dreams is a metaphysical subject that are not talked about much, but they are something most people have likely experienced. I have had a couple that I consciously remember. The story flows well with a clear, middle and end. It's very watchable with good vocabulary and concepts that tween and teens will relate to. It's well produced with good visual and audio quality, good direction and acting. I do have one comment about the abrupt sound adjustment, 2 and 3 minutes in, which may have been done consciously to increase dramatic effect. I found it just a bit too loud. Happy to recommend to the KIDS FIRST! Film Festival for ages 9 to 14. I give this 4 out of 5 stars. Reviewed by Kimberly M., KIDS FIRST! Juror.
