I believe young people and families should watch this film because is very educational regarding the environment and multi-cultural issues. This short student-produced film is about an alien and her pet that come to Earth to look for an element to save her planet. She makes friends in the process and gives them powers before she returns to her planet.

I like the comedy in this film! The kids are really funny; the story is very interesting and sweet at the same time. I like that there are different cultures and races depicted and I like how the main characters accept and bond with the alien. In their eyes, nobody is different. I also like that the dialogue is in both Spanish and English.

One of the scenes that impressed me is when the alien is watching TV and there is a tentacle commercial. That is too funny. I love the alien's favorite show, which shows a bunch of children of various races, including a "little person" kid. I like that this film has such a variety of kids in the cast. The costumes are very original and suit the story line. The alien's makeup is definitely unique. You need to keep in mind that this film was produced as part of the Spanish Film Club at Tyler Elementary School in Washington DC. It is not a professional production and yet, in many ways, I love it more than some professional productions. I love that the majority of the scenes are shot in the school. It makes the film look like a popular TV show. The student actors are quite delightful and completely believable. The casting is quite wonderful. The kids' dialogue is very funny and some of them are very dramatic.

The background music is appealing, especially the ending song. The lyrics are touching and appropriate. The sound effects are pretty cool too. The visual effects work well. I like how the alien's eyes turn purple and I like the alien's tentacles. The pet, Fluffy, is rather ugly cute.

I believe this short film could be a kids TV show or a feature movie. The story line is interesting and educational. The message is about accepting people of all kinds, helping and being kind to each other. It reminded me to accept people who are different than me and to be kind and helpful. My favorite part of this film is the ending, but I can't tell you what that is or I would spoil it for you.

I give this film 5 out of 5 stars and recommend it for ages 5-10, as well as adults. Reviewed by Ethan P. and Julie S.
