This is adorable. The line drawn animation in black and white, without any dialogue, just a charming little background music, wins you over. From the time the boy is young, he wants a dog. His mother wants a cat. Time passes as he yearns for the dog. Then one day, what shall he run into but a cat that acts just like a dog! Ala! It's a match made in heaven. But first the cat / dog has to prove its worth and we watch him play fetch, sit, roll over and play dead, enchanting the boy. Yet, the boy walks away! Oh no. You'll have to watch the film to find out what happens. The only hint I can give you is that the world turns from black and white to color when the boy makes the right choice. Love this film. Can't wait for more from this talented filmmaker. Highly recommended for KIDS FIRST! Film Festivals. Recommend for ages 4 to 18, plus adults. I give this 5 out of 5 stars. A young boy pleads with his mother to get him a dog but his mother prefers a cat. Years later, the boy runs into what looks like a cat on the street but oddly enough the cat acts like a dog! See if the cat can win the boy over with his crazy dog-like antics and become the boy's "odd dog".
