I like this film because it has a very unique storyline. The youth actors are absolutely adorable. They are Chinese and speak a combination of Mandarin and English. I particularly enjoyed seeing how the kids act with the alien. It's cool that the kids are nice to the aliens, because we usually see the aliens attacking people or vice versa.

This storyline follows four children who run into an alien and wonder why he is digging in the trashcans. We find out that he needs trash to rebuild his spaceship. The kids take off around their neighborhood to find trash and help the alien or "Mysterious Trashman," as they like they call him.

I like that the kids help the alien without hesitation. I have to say that the Alien costume and the spaceship at the end are pretty campy. But, it doesn't detract from telling a good story. Another thing I particularly like is that it is about recycling. At one point the kids have to resort the trash because it hasn't been done right. The sound effects are quite well done. There's a bit when they make rain appear and disappear and that is well done. The child actors stand out the most because this short film is predominately about them and their efforts to help the alien. My favorite character is the alien, Mysterious Trashman.

The message is about the importance of recycling and being kind to others.

I give this film 3.5 out of 5 stars and recommend it to ages 5 to 18 plus adults. Reviewed by Ethan P. and Julie S., KIDS FIRST! Film Critic and KIDS FIRST! Adult reviewer.
